About the Author:

Upon retiring from teaching in Indiana Public schools, Joe Krom pursued his interest in history by researching events incorporated into his historical novel "Heart of a Warrior: The True Saga of Sweet Breeze and William Wells." Mr. Krom spent his boyhood in communities along the Eel River in northern Indiana. He helped operate his family's water-powered flour mill. He attended Manchester College (on the Eel River at North Manchester, IN) where he received his BS degree. He obtained his MS degree at Indiana State University (on the Wabash River at Terre Haute, IN). He taught mathematics and coached track at LaCrosse, at Argos, and at LaVille schools. |
